Age: 27
Appearance:

She stands five seven with short red hair that gets wavy if she lets it grow out longer. She has pale skin no thanks to her mother's side of the family. Dancing has kept her lean and muscular. She has two tattoos a protective Sigil on the underside of her left wrist, a tribal black rose as a tribute to her mother on her right shoulder.

As a hunter she's no stranger to scars, which she usually hides with baggy clothing such as hoodies or leather jackets. Her scars include, but aren’t limited to her left shoulder being torn up looking like it was mauled when she was a kid. On her stomach are four claw marks, both scars from her mother’s death. Her left leg looks like it was shredded at some point, with claw marks. The hoodies are good for another reason; they're good for concealing weapons after all, and she hates going anywhere unarmed.

Home World:

Cassie and her twin were born just after Sam came back after jumping in the pit. Her little nitche of the US is spared from most of the bad no thanks to some help from the twins' aunt's coven, who have woven spells of protection all over the city. Only monsters that show up are ones that are destined to be there.

History:

Additional info here

While Soulless!Sam's out hunting with Samuel, Gramps gets hurt. The nearest 'medic' that Gramps trusts in the area's a white witch named Trinity Grange, who's little sister happens to be a hunter. While Trin patches up Samuel, Sarah and Sam small talk, having a few beers on the porch, both keeping an eye out for the spook that the pair had been hunting, and the rest of the hunting party. Little did they know at the time the beer they were drinking was laced with one of Trinity's love tonics. One thing lead to another and well…

Nine months later the twins were born. Trinity agreed to act as their mother in order to hide them from others, after all demons and angels would probably be keeping an eye on them since they're the next generation of Winchesters. While Sarah’s out on a hunt two demons show up. Trin’s been playing white witch, but she’s been playing a role that she was asked to play for a while.

The demons decide that Sarah and Sam’s daughter would make a better vessel for Lucifer than their son. She’s given a small taste of blood and the pair leave.

When she and her brother are nine they meet their father and uncle for the first time, Cassie helps them find their mother with a vision; Cassie shows the wounds, her shoulder chewed on and her stomach torn into, just like her mother; giving Sam a hint that his daughter may be a little more like him than he would ever like.

He’s still reeling over the fact he has kids for the most part and takes a few months off hunting in order to get to know his kids. Dean sticks around to see if the kids are really what they seem. Colt takes to hanging around him whenever he’s around, wanting to learn how to hunt like him, despite Dean not wanting to bring another kid into the job, he teaches the kids a few things, if only to protect themselves.

She doesn’t see them again until she’s in middle school, one of them becomes her own private tutor, teaching her how to use her abilities right in the school. Cassie hates the lessons, but gets addicted to the power. During this time she starts getting visions, this goes on well into high school.

Some of the visions she can shrug off as nightmares, but she gets a faint idea that her brother’s starting to get a clue that something’s up. Colt calls Sam hoping to get some help.

Before Sam arrives she gets a vision of one of the cheerleaders attacking others in the school. Cassie can’t shake the feeling that she’s supposed to deal with the girl somehow and talks her brother into trying to help her. She doesn’t realize it’s a test set up by her private tutors, a shape shifter that’s set loose on the school, which nearly gets Cassie and Colt killed when they corner her in the halls. Dean kills the shifter right before it tries to take a chunk out of Colt who’s nursing broken ribs. Cassie’s been knocked out, her wrist broken, but other wise unharmed.

Two months after their failed hunt their mother’s killed on a hunt, Trin disappears so for the next year the twins travel with the brothers. Along the way they stop for a while in Lawrence. While there Cassie finds an old 67 impala and with Dean’s help they fix the car up, Cassie’s is painted blue which suits her fine. Dean and Sam split up for a bit, Sam travelling with Cassie, while Colt travels with Dean.

Durring the time Cassie and Sam are travelling together she informs Sam about the blood. While he’s furious about it he knows he has no right to say anything. He tells her about his ordeals with it and why it was done to them. While they can’t figure out the seals Cassie promises not to go on demon hunts alone, just to make sure she doesn’t do the same mistake he did. A few hunts later Cassie and Colt are reunited when she has a vision that Colt and Dean are in trouble dealing with a winged snake in New Mexico.

The snake poisons Dean before the pair get there. Colt manages to fight it back and Cassie throws the snake back agaisnt the wall giving Sam and her brother time to get Dean out of the warehouse they had cornered it in. She’s rescued by a Demon who happens to have a spear that takes out the snake. Sam does his best to keep Cassie away from the demon for the next year, until she announces she wants to try college. While they’ve been hunting she’s been taking classes to be able to graduate high school on time. Sending out applications she gets into Juilliard, with a little help from her guardian demon, even though at the time she doesn’t know that someone’s had a hand in it.

Her first year there she’s proving she’s just as smart as her father, though her mind’s geared differently. She gets into the dance program without much help, it’s been something she’s always been god at and she found it helped her in fights.

Start of her third semester she runs across her guardian demon again, this time he rescues her from a rogue angel that wants to take her out before anymore seals get broken. In the process Cassie’s thrown from a catwalk above the stage, the fall breaks her upper leg and her kneecap. The Angel that was assigned to her and her brother isn’t a healer so unable to mend it. Thus Cassie’s dance carreer’s over. Erik, as her demon guard likes to call himself, is the one to call Sam. When the brothers get there they find him waiting outside the hospital room, Cassie’s still blood free. He was given orders to make sure she survived, he also informs them he did try to give her blood to help her ease the pain, but she refused, making an off handed comment that the daughter’s more stubborn than the father before he leaves.

Cassie’s ordered bed rest and to stop hunting for a bit. They put her up in a cabin in Upstate New York where she ends up spending the better part of a year while her leg mends, putting John’s journal into a digital format. She collects her father’s notes as well. This digital encyclopedia gets installed into her impala, Sam getting sent the password to it so he can access it with his laptop. The two spend the next year or two adding to the database with their hunts. It’s not as good as Bobby’s books, which she starts working on putting into the database.

During this year, since she’s mostly on her own Erik stays close, working with her on the whole demon blood bit. They’re careful to make sure before starting any lessons her family’s on the other side of the country. While she can tell when her twin’s in trouble he can’t tell when she’s up to anything, makes things a little easier to learn than it had Sam. Cassie’s also learning magic from him, learning spells to bind monsters, some of them involve ingredients, others just vocal comands, she keeps this knowledge to herself knowing it would be too dangerous to put in the database.

When she starts hunting again she’s better than she was before at least when it comes to figuring out how to deal with things. Her family’s none the wiser about her activities and she’s careful to use the tradiontal means when it comes to dealing with demons just so that they stay in the dark.

Powers/Talents:

Cassie's gotten her father's demonic blood, even though her brother doesn't. But because of this she has certain gifts, though not as strong as her father's even with training.

  • Twin stuff
    • Cassie has an empathic bond with her twin. Though it only works one way. She can tell what he's feeling.
    • She's always able to find her brother, doesn't matter what's going on.
  • Hunting
    • Cassie has gun training mostly small firearms and shotguns.
    • She has some knife training, though it's not her favorite weapon to use.
    • She's a walking encyclopedia of monsters her grandfather and father have faced. She's added some other things to the mix, taking interest in North American Mythology.
  • Visions
    • Cassie gets visions on people being attacked by monsters and demons
      • She only has visions while she's sleeping.
      • Her visions are usually after the fact while she's able to take out the creature that does the damage, but she's unable to save the person she sees die.
  • TK
    • Cassie can only move things if she's gotten a hit of demon blood, even then the attempts are feeble at best, she can use it as a distraction for the most part.
  • Immunity
    • She's immune to the attacks of most of the original children Azazel chose. Her father's own abilities don't work on her.
    • She's immune to the Croatoan virus.
  • Sensing supernatural
    • Cassie can't explain how she can tell that there are other beings around she just can. It's usually just a queasy fealing, either a headache or stomach ache.
  • Tech and mechanics
    • She's not an expert hacker, but give her time she can usually get into a system to poke around.
    • Only mechanic she allowes to touch her impala is herself, or her uncle. And when it comes to Dean touching it, she's watching with hawkeyes because really it's her baby.
  • Languages
    • She's learned a few languages over the years.
      • Latin - No brainer most spells she knows are in Latin, though not all.
      • Russian - The spells Erik's taught her have been in Russian, she's learned how to speak enough to have a conversation if needed.
      • She's picked up a spattering of languages (Enough to order from the menu)
        • Spanish
        • Chinese
        • Italian

Personality:

Her main goals were to be a world famous dancer and not on any stage her uncle would frequent. She wanted the normal life, that all backfired when she broke her leg so she tends to take it out on every monster she can get her hands on for the most part. If she can take down the ones that hunt people she feels there wouldn’t be another girl like her with crushed dreams somewhere.

Even though she’s a hunter she tries to dress nice, when dealing with the public most of the time, fine sweaters, and skirt suits, while on a hunt she knows it’s best to just stick with what you know will last, jeans and tees with low heeled boots. Cassie owns one pair of heels and those she tries not to break out because even though she was in ballet for a while she can’t walk in heels. She says she’d rather break her neck than contort her feet that way.

Cassie’s life revolves mostly around three things: Family, her car, and demon’s blood. Mostly in that order as well, when it comes to her family she’s fine with playing bait if they’re backing her up. Cassie knows how to shoot, she just doesn’t like to unless she really has to.

She’s selfless, usually the first one to offer to play bait when she’s working with her uncle or brother trusting their shots better than hers. Though if the one watching her back is her dad she’ll hesitate for a split second before agreeing, it’s not that she doesn’t trust her father’s shot, she just doesn’t want to put him in a position where he might have to shoot through her to get the monster of the week. Yeah, she’s a bit of a daddy’s princess but she tries her best to keep it from going to her head.

When it comes to her blue impala, she’s actually more protective of it than Dean is with his. After her brother crashed it once dealing with a black dog she won’t let him even sit in the passenger seat let alone drive her. Cassie pays for parts the same way Dean does as well, through card games and pool, if she knows she’ll be staying in a location a while she’ll scope out the local street racing scene, if she feels the competition’s right she’ll race, small towns with their supped up muscle cars have been the best pots for it so far when she’s tried her luck. Though she’s always careful when picking her races.

Because of how she grew up, even though she was one of the rare hunters with a ‘normal-ish’ childhood, she is no stranger to keeping secrets either, letting out just enough to make herself seem interesting, though there are times where she even questions which is the real her, the person she is when she’s alone with her computer and books, or the ‘face’ she’s playing for the masses.

When she does manage to get her hands on demon blood she is a completely different person, the lying is actually easier for her and she’s less willing to listen to suggestions from her family. Cassie’s also colder, quicker to draw the trigger and less likely to play the good cop. While she tries to hide it from the family she knows it’s going to only be a matter of time before she ends up letting it slip.

Normally she’s able to hide her addiction, though she keeps a small vial on her for emergencies and dark glasses are a must. She feels guilty about it, but what else is she supposed to do when things have been out of her hands long before she could even make decisions for herself? She knows her father has a clue of what she’s going through, just not the extent of it, it’s one secret she actually doesn’t feel bad about keeping from him. The longer he and her brother are in the dark about it the longer she can figure out a way to explain it to them without upsetting them too much. At least she hopes.

Why would your character be chosen?

Other than the fact she’s better looking than her uncle? In all seriousness, she’s been bred to be tough, Cassie can take a lot of beatings and still get up and finish the job for the most part. Again another trait that runs in the bloodline, she’s stubborn as all hell and then some. Cassie for her faults, does try to do the right thing most of the time.
How much does your character know about nonhumans?

Cassie has been around the supernatural her whole life. While she’s a walking encyclopedia of the things in the shadows, her mythology is still lacking unless it’s something dealing with the US. She’s had to do some research on mythos from other countries, but for the most part if her dad or uncle haven’t killed it, nor her and her brother she probably doesn’t know it exists for the most part.

She knows Demons, Shifters, Skinwalkers, black dogs, witches and Angels pretty well though. Gods… not so much.

Why this character:

Because I don’t normally get to toss her into games because she’s a fandom OC, but really when asked I had to at least give it a shot, any place I can mess around with Winchesters with her is always a bonus.

I found in the time I’ve played her she’s been fun because she’s not a sibling of the brothers even though she’s related, gives her a little more freedom than siblings, also gives her a different spin if she gets family members to play with because you tend to treat your kids, or your sibs kids a little differently than you treat your sibs.

Best thing about Cassie is she comes with her own brand of crazy. After all she tries hard to embrace what she is, even though secretly she regrets what she’s becoming.

4. Samples

Please either include a first-person entry that could be your character's first post on The Network, or a third-person prose or action spam sample that could be your character's reaction to arriving in Dagaz. For the other two samples, links to previous character examples are fine.
First-Person:

Okay I got the story from the welcomin’ committee but don’ think I’m gunna like it. I have things to be doin’ an’ getting hitched… [She laughs at that, it’s cold.] Takin’ a guess these dicks didn’t do their homework. My family’s not big on the marriage bit. Last one of us that did get married well… didn’t end pretty. Now please tell me this place has a decent bar, and please no 80’s rock in the jukebox. I’m not stuck with my uncle so really would like something that’s older than my dad. If there’s tequila there’s a bonus. Have a feelin’ whiskey ain’ even gunna start to cut the migraine this place is already givin’ me.
